Club Championship Rules
You must be a current financial PMKC member throughout the 2024 Club Championship.
Club Championship points are automatically calculated by the Club’s race management software and Speedhive results and based on competitors that take to the grid for each race.
To qualify for the Club Championship you must have competed in a minimum of three (3) rounds out of the five (5) on offer in 2024.
To qualify for the Club Championship each driver and/or parent, friend or guardian must dedicate one (1) full day in assisting PMKC with the running of a race meeting. This must be done before the final checkered flag on the last race of Round 5 (Refer to roles under the Bonus Point Systems) and competitors take to the grid for each meeting entered.
Championship Points
Where a class is cancelled for any particular reason, the total number of Club Championship rounds only for that cancelled class will be decreased by one (1) – i.e. 2 out of 4 rounds instead of 3 out of the 5, towards that classes Club Championship.
It is the responsibility of the competitor to check and advise the Club Secretary or Club President in writing if points have not been allocated correctly by no later than the day before the next Club Championship round. Points will NOT be adjusted outside this timeline.
One (1) round will be dropped automatically, even if you did not race it, at the end of the Club Championship, this will be considered your worst round.
Final points at season’s end declare Club Champions and runners up. Any appeals to this decision need to be made within one (1) week of Round 5.

Bonus Points System
PMKC will operate a bonus points system for the Club Championship. This system is to encourage members to provide PMKC with assistance with the running of race meetings throughout 2024.
The following roles for which bonus points can be awarded are as follows:
Weight Marshall (must be KA accredited) – 1 to 2 required per race meeting
Grid Marshall (must be KA accredited) – 1 or 2 required per race meeting
Flag/Lights Marshall (must be KA accredited) – 1 or 2 required to run lights per race meeting
Data Entry – 1 required for race meeting
Clerk of Course (must be KA accredited) – 1 required per race meeting
Assistant Clerk of Course (must be KA accredited) – 1 required per race meeting
Stewards (must be KA accredited) – minimum of 3 to 4 required per race meeting
Canteen Duty
Working Bee’s
There is a total 30 bonus points on offer per class for the 2024 Club Championship, as stated below:
Bonus Points System is as follows:
First Full Day = Qualify for Club Championship
Second Full Day = 20 Bonus points awarded
Third Full Day = 10 Bonus points awarded
Once the roles have been filled for a race meeting there are no further opportunities for that race meeting to gain points. Roles are filled on a first come first served basis. Anyone that wishes to provide assistance must notify the Club via email at email AT LEAST one week prior to the event.
In order to gain bonus points the Club must be aware of the person assisting prior to the event. You cannot just say ‘Fred was working for me’. The PMKC committee will be the final arbiter of the bonus points system. To be clear, if you do not organise the person to assist, you are not entitled to bonus points.
There is a total of 30 bonus points on offer per class for the Championship: 20 for the first day’s assistance and 10 for the second.
In order to obtain bonus points you must provide a FULL day of assistance. This can be split between two people but must total a full day of assistance to be attributed to a single karter (e.g. mum and dad can each flag for half a day to gain a single day’s bonus points). This can be the competitor or a designated proxy. The person performing the work must sign in on the sheets provided at the race secretary’s office at the beginning of the race day in order for the points to be counted.
Points are awarded on a class by class basis; which means that you can obtain points for more than one class (points are not transferable to another person OR to another class). Once you start accumulating points for a class your points will continue being awarded for that class until you have a total of 30 bonus points, then addition days assistance will be awarded to the next nominated class, if any. You cannot swap your bonus points allocation around (it causes a huge administration load).
